In Philippines, Daiwa have participated in “3rd Scientific Conference/2nd Oncology Symposium” of “The Filipino-Chinese Medical Society”, the most prestigious conference in the Philippines, as a cosponsor. Around 200 people attended, mostly medical doctors, to this conference. Again, Dr. Ghoneum gave a presentation titled, “Immunotherapy role on cancer treatment” was well-received by the attendees.

In Philippines, a luncheon seminar with 150 people in attendance was held along with the conference. Besides Dr. Ghoneum's presentation, the speech made by former Philippine first lady, Imeruda Marcos, on “The importance of diversification of medical system” gave a great impact on the attendees. Through these workshops and conferences, Daiwa is establishing reputations in Asia. “As one of our company mission, we will continue to promote and to help people through our products” says Yasuo Ninomiya, the president.
